I was reading up on RWS 350 threads and saw a few references to the effort required to cock it. So I decided to compare the listed numbers for my R9 to the RWS 350. Pyramydair lists:
R9 CockingEffort 40 lbs.
RWS350 CockingEffort 33 lbs.
Does my weaker R9 actually require a higher coking effort than the RWS 350 Magnum??? Anybody have these 2 guns and can confirm?

I have the R-9 and she cocks as smooth as butter. I think the difference in length of barels will reflect the overall cocking effort. Don't own a RWS 350 but have cocked them hundreds of times..:) In my opinion the R-9 is lighter cocking.. Jeff, aka Longislandhunter has both and he will probably chime in on your post.

mine is a short barrel and its a strong pull on the cocking and will give u a work out for sure but times has went by that im use to it but yes its strong ,its the same strain as a rws side lever rws 48 in my opinon and i had the rws 48 so i would know...jorge
