Did you guys know that it is less than three weeks until squirrel season starts again in Tennessee? I've got a lot of new spots ready to go! The turkey and coyote hunting is helping me to scout for new nutter locations! When I was sitting in my turkey blind the other day three young squirrels were playing all around me.
I'm going to try out my TF 99 for squirrels. It is just so accurate and is lighter to carry than the 350. I'm trying to get my brother interested in the air gunning for them too. I have four really good anti-squirrel air guns-the TF 89, RWS 350, the TF 99, and my always deadly Whisper. The Air Hawk has actually been shooting okay since it got a new scope and mounts so it may enter the mix as well.
Heck, I may even drag out my 40 year old Blue Streak for old times sake! It would be a great rifle to loan to someone if they haven't shot springer air guns before.

I have to admit that I am seriously envious of all the squirrel hunting you guys from Tennessee get to do.... Like the line from the movie "Shooter" says........... "Welcome to Tennessee, the patron state for shootin stuff". :)

LOTS of young squirrels this year too! We had another good mast crop due to all the moisture. I can probably pick off ten in my backyard in a single day. The young ones aren't as smart as the ones I was trying to get in the fall. Of course my huge population may have something to do with 50 pounds of deer corn I fed them over the winter. :D

Might wanna check your guide we have 4 1/2 weeks to go it opens on May 8.Man you had me tore up I thought I had misread the guide :D

Yepper! I was thinking it was around May first sometime. Between now and then I'm going to continue to try and get my first Turkey! I found where the roosted the last time I was out, so I should be ready to go on Saturday.
