Had some time this evening just before sundown to shoot. Grabbed my Crosman 102, some .22 pellets and an empty salt container and headed for the backyard. This old rifle is fast becoming one of my favorites. I tore up that salt box in no time!
I used to not be able to hit anything with this gun, but now since I found some pellets it likes and changed the rear sight things have changed. The original rear sight was mounted on the receiver cover. It was a peep that someone decided to cut a deep "V" notch into. My eyes just could not work with the sight up so close. I removed the original sight and replaced it with one from a 760. That was better, but not great. I've since installed an old Sheridan rear sight and now I can finally get this old pumper shoot.

Improvise, adapt and overcome.............sounds like you persevered and won. Good to have a shooter that previously wouldn't.
