: Family Fun Shooting

Today we had a great time.  I was out doing some yard work when my son in law came over.  He was bored and wanted to shoot the air guns.  I wasn't really in the mood, but I grabbed the Air Hawk for him.

After seeing how much fun he was having, I grabbed the Jaymo TF 99 Special and started dropping the Gamo Squirrel with ease.  He thought it was the gun, and I handed him the 99 and kept popping the squirrel with the Air Hawk.

My daughter saw the fun, and I told him to fetch her the Whisper since it is so easy to shoot.  She can cock it, while the others are too hard for her.  She was deadly with it!  Shooting cans, the squirrel target, and generally anything she desired to hit.

Now Zack was REALLY frustrated as his dad in law and his wifey were showing him up!  If that wasn't bad enough Leah (Grandma) decided that she wanted to shoot.  I showed her how to load and shoot the Jaymo Special.  The first time she NAILED the squirrel at 30 yards dropping it.  :D

It was starting to get pretty dark.  I tried to show him how to shoot it better, but it just got too late.

He was pretty humbled when an old man and two GIRLS showed him up.  :D

(I don't know if he knows that my wifey is a tomboy and has shot most of her life.  My daughter has learned very well and follows instructions.  I taught her the artillery hold, breath control, etc and she does the rest) :D

Thanks for the comments!  Today I got the TF 89 out and shot for a bit.  I like to give all of them a chance to get shot.  I even got out the 350, but since I haven't shot it in a long time, I didn't do as well with it.  I'm almost thinking it needs to be tuned before I leave for Kansas.  If you have time before then let me know and I'll send it off to you. :D

I went out to my friend Jim's house to actually fish, but I tried some long shots with the TF 99 after we were done.  It was really windy and I failed to hit the 90 yard target, but I was hitting a soda bottle well out at at 50plus yards. That means I can hit a prairie dog at that range.  When I was out in Kansas last summer I actually hit a Pepsi can at over a hundred yards with the 350, but it took a lot of practice to figure out how high to aim.
