: NTAGM fishing

Yesterday there was a break in the rain about noon, so grills were fired up, and Joel Lively got his spinning reel out. In a few minutes he walked up from the creek with this nice bass. I think Joel had the best time of all, which is only fair. His efforts to set up our shoots at Soldier Creek Ranch have been a boon to our group. It's a great location.

Joel also brings this air cannon .50 cal rifle, which requires something like a portable scuba tank, sounds like a sonic boom, and can knock down small trees. OK, maybe a slight Texas exaggeration, but each time it is fired, the entire firing line will break out in laughter. He hit a bell at something like 80 yards with it yesterday.

We did have some fun...

I think it had lost a lot of velocity, but the slug weighed soemthing like 150 grains...
