Excuse my ignorance... I just bought a .22 Mrod and have no idea what these items are for? Improved performance? Maintenance?

they keep dirt and dust from getting into the hammer spring chamber,screw threads. also provides a raised area to place your thumb while cocking the gun.  The o-rings a better quality rubber and fit better than stock.
