I have 2, one in .177 and one in .22 and both box stock and real fine shooters.
dime size groups at 45+ yds are a piece of cake.
The .177 believe it or not likes 7.9 grain Crosman Premiere Hollow Points, that walmart sells for $6.97 for 500.
The .22 loves H&N Barracuda Match domed in 21.14 grain.
Do a search here for "best pellet" and you'll find tons of info on them for disco's
Hope this helps

Nice choice.....The Disco Likes a lot of pellets, But it loves JBS,Barracudas. Hopefully you have a back yard beg enough where you can shoot and your neighbors don't care because the disco out of the box is Loud.
So the tko muzzle brake makes this disco as nice as the marauder sound wise.
I know you will be back for the Mrod later.....But honestly you could wait a year, the disco is just that good. I couldn't wait two months...;)

You made a wise choice, you're gonna love that disco. I have one in .177 and one in .22, both bone stock except for TKO muzzle brakes and they are both fantastic shooters. The .177 loves the cheapo Walmart CPHP's and the .22 loves Beeman FTS pellets and kodiaks. Both rifles like a few other pellets as well. Both of my rifles have a sweet spot of 1800 psi and both are giving me around 35 good shots on a fill. You're gonna love that rifle....

Thanks for the advice. The TKO muzzle break is on order. How do they attach? With a set screw? I'm sure the mrod rod will be in my furture. I was price checking scuba tanks. lol
Thanks Ray

Jeff, how is it to pump? Is it a hassle?

GOOD LUCK Ray.I started with a Disco and pump last year. This year I sold 2 of my high end springers to but a Air Arms s400 and a nitrogen tank set up.THERE IS NO TURNING BACK.Have Fun!!!!!

I normally use my scuba tank to fill the discos but if I have used the hand pump many times and they are a breeze to pump up. If you're filling it the first time from 0 with a hand pump then that first fill will be a little work, but after that it's a piece of cake when you're topping off after a 35 yard shot string. :)

Still think the Discovery is a perfect pump-fill gun.
After your first fill from zero, the refills (about 800PSI worth...probably the best shooting will be from 1800-1000psi) are a lot less work.
Reading these forums, would get the idea that you have to do the trigger mod...have to recrown...have to have a muzzle brake/LDC...have to add a power adjuster...have to usse only "x" pellets...etc.
Bull.
Buy it, shoot it, and see what she'll do...very good chance you won't "have to" do anything...but if something is still bothering you a month from now, then look into the "gotta dos".

Sorry....I should've let go.....
Don't be surprised if somehow the Disco reproduce inside your gun safe.....
