The late-season snowstorm that got underway across northern New England on Tuesday will continue into today, leading to more slick travel and potential power outages.

Before ending by this evening, snow will continue to accumulate from the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York to the higher terrain of Maine.

A fresh 3 to 6 inches of snow will add to what fell prior to daybreak in the highest terrain. Even the valley cities of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Burlington, Vt., will receive an additional coating to an inch this morning.

Substantial snow amounts have already been measured across northern New England. Through early this morning, Dannemora, N.Y., topped the storm's snowfall totals list with 15.5 inches.

Below are other snowfall totals, as of early this morning:

--Jeffersonville, Vt.: 14.0 inches

--North Underhill, Vt.: 13.3 inches

--Jericho, Vt.: 12.0 inches

--Malone, N.Y.: 12.0 inches

--Marshfield, Vt.: 6.0 inches

Burlington, Vt., picked up 2.8 inches of snow on Tuesday. That exceeded the day's previous snowfall record of 1.3 inches from 1946.

Never a dull moment here as far as the weather !!! :D

I'm 35 miles south of Utica, and we had snow squalls down here yesterday - below freezing last night. They're saying in the 70's by Friday.

I've been caught in short blizzads this time of year while hunting up in the hill tops. One minute it's sunny and warm, and in as little as 15  minutes later, wind blasting snow sideways, and an inch of wet snow covering everything !!

When the locals warn, "Dress for the weather when you go out",....  it can mean dragging half your clothes closet around with you. God bless the inventor of Gortex !!!! :D

We were supposed to have 15cm of snow....it did snow the whole day, but only wet snow.  So we ended up with only 1cm of snow on cars, roofs and the grass.  On the streets it all melted.
