What MODIFICATIONS and/or TUNEShave you done to it to make her your FAVORITE ???
Or are you happy just the way she is, Out of the Box ???
Let us know !!!
CAUSE: "AIN"T THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO BE !!!"

That's a tough choice Bill, I really do love em all but,,,,,, if I had to choose one,,,,,,,,
my GAMO 1520 .22 caliber topped with my Leapers 3x9x50 mildot illum reticle scope :)
The quality and the craftsmanship on that gun is just awesome and she's just so purdy to look at. As for the power,,,, absolutely amazing. A bear to cock but well worth the effort when you pull the trigger and that pellets starts screaming towards it's target,, specially since it now bears a CDT trigger :)

Mine would be my 440 Hunter Natchez $119.00 special. When I first got it, I hated it. Shot patterns rather than groups. It was loud, and boingy. After about 2500 pellets, I was ready to wrap it around a tree, and bury it in the back yard.
But instead, I took it apart and found a broken spring and a seal with a big gouge out of it. I ordered an Apex seal and lube kit from J Macarri. Deburred everything and put in a Crosman spring (which fits the rear spring much tighter than the Gamo spring did) Lubed it, per the information on CDT's site and the library here, put it back together and now it is the quietest, smoothest shooting air rifle I own. I was and am amazed at the difference everytime I shoot it.
I also have a Daisy 1150 which is a Gamo Delta. That little gun is a smooth accurate shooter as well. I have taken more pests with that gun than any other. I have a 4X Crosman scope on it and 1 1/2" swingers are no problem at 35 yds. It chronys 540fps with Gamo Match wadcutters after a lube tune, and it has plenty of killing power within its range.
Those are all of the Gamos I own, and I like them both (now) alot.

Right now it's got to be my Rich tuned CFX.... however, he is going to do a barrel swap
on my 1250 soon and convert it to .20... I'll have to think that it would then become my
favorite :)
-
Mine would have to be the CDT Turbo-tuned CFX with the CDT trigger mod. A leapers 3-12x44 mini swat mill-dot scope on top completes the package. Like Jeff said, this gun is sweet to look at too, and is deadly accurate :p

That would have to be the CFX I gave to my brother. Tuned by Bob last year, along with one of his GReaT trigger, but after a spring collapse, I installed a Theoben gas ram and JM Hornet piston seal. My brother came over last weekend to help with a construction project, brought the CFX with him, of course. Man, that's one sweet shooting gun! Had the CFX, a S1K, and my HW 77 all out at the same time. The S1K is stock, but even against the 77, that CFX really shines. I had a Leapers 3-12x44 full size on it, but had done some scope swapping, so it's currently wearing it's original BSA 2-7x32. I think I'm going to have to build another one just for me.

If I tell you ' you can't tell my other babies hehe. I like my CFX AND MY 220.22 but my Shadow Sport is is my sweetheart. She's all stock but will be heading to Bob for best tune that Bob can give her. She's a fantastic hunter, just set the crosshair's and she does the rest. :) Ed

Easy one:
I recently had Natchez send a Hunter 440, .117 cal. directly to Charley. He turbo tuned and installed the
grtIII on it. Results are... couldn't believe this one. Much nicer than even the 22 Cal. 440 that Bob tuned for me before this one.
My other Gamo is one of those 1250 that I got some years ago and have never liked; I wouldn't be able to shoot a hot air balloon inside a room with it and its way too heavy. You also get quite a workout cocking it.
I expect to have Rich re barrel it in .20 sometime soon; Maybe He can get it to shoot in a more controlled fashion that way and it will stop gathering dust in a corner.
It's not that I want to give Gamo a bad rap about their guns;I love some and then I hate some.

Hello all,
It would have to be my hunter 890, .177 cal., because thats the only one I have. Nice shooting rifle with CDT's trigger.
Rabbit :) :)
-
I have so many Gamo's that I would have to put them in catagories...:)
For paper, I would have to pick my S1K .20 with the L/W choked barrel and a CDT Turbo Tune and GRT-III trigger as my favorite..:)
For small game, I would pick my CFX .177 Synthetic with a CDT Turbo Tune and GRT-III trigger.:)
For just gazing at would be my 2 CFX .177 & .22 Royals which also have a CDT Turbo Tune with GRT-III triggers...:)
Sorry Bill, but I love all of em... hehe

Hello Ribbonstone,
I'm not familiar with this model Gamo, could you tell us what makes this your special Gamo air rifle, and the model ??
Thanks,
-
Was Gamo's entry into the match gun field. Sold in Europe as the MC Conquest (which is the one shown) or the Super Match (that one is in the middle of a stock refinishing right now). Only difference in the two is a little difference in the stock, no fore arm accessory rail on the MC Conquest, and a differnt triggerguard. Both models were sold for a very short time by Daisy.
Basically it's a Gamo SSP match gun. Here's a bit better picture (at least it shows the side lever):

Guess it's a favorite gamo becasue it's the only match gun I've scoped with a good scope. Only shoots in the 600fps range, but is accurate enough to shoot bottle caps at 44yards (if you can read the wind right).

Favorite Gamo is the Hunter 220 .22 I sold Shadow a.k.a. Ed. That was a real sweet shooter imho, CDT trigger and a nice barrel shroud....weeeee!

Thanks for you response Ribbonstone,
I agree with you, It would be nice to see them offered today.
Thank you,
-
another vote for a cfx tuned by charlie(bob werner) 850fps, 1" groups at 50 yards. one of my best shooters but my only Gamo
-
I agree Dano, that 220 is a fantastic shooter and she love's P-Dog's. Thank's again for a great deal and gun AIRBUD. ;} Ed
-
For me it's the Stutzen. Best-looking Mannlicher around. After a couple thousand shots it has smoothed out remarkably. It was accurate right out of the box and it hits really hard. This is the gun which sold me on Gamo rifles, I picked up a Hunter Sport last Sunday based on my experience with the Stutzen.
-
I only have two rifles, both are Gamos. To be fair, I can't tell you if I like the S1k better or the CFX. I have not had enough time with the CFX yet, maybe 20 shots or so before sending it away for a visit. I suspect that will become my favorite tho ;)
Now if I can find me a nice muzzle break or two and send the S1k away for a visit as well... :P
