: Mendoza Parts?
: thebookdoc April 28, 2010, 01:13:36 PM
I may be picking up a Mendoza RM2800. Apparently it is missing the 7-shot magazine. I would like to have that on the rifle if I get it as it makes it a repeater and unique in my collection. Any idea where I can get a replacement?

Thanks!

Might try Umarex.  They refurb them.  Was this the $50 gun on Brad's site?

I'm not sure. The owner offered it to me as I was looking for rifles with aesthetic issues for testing. This one is missing the sights, missing the mag...the two things that make the rifle unique. It is in good condition otherwize, but I don't know that I want it without the repeatability and the diopter. I'm figuring that's at least $100 in replacement parts...

PA claims to have parts on their web site...so I sent them an email. took a week to get a reply. They pretty much said "sorry, buy a new gun". I hate PA.

I need a complete front sight assembly for a Diana 75. Saw pretty much that on PA's website. And it said "In Stock". So, I call and they say PA inherited a bunch of Diana parts when they took over from Air Gun Specialties (or whoever was the RWS service agent from that time period). Took me three calls, waiting out one guy's lunch hour, to find out that, no, they don't have it. Was still listed on the site for a couple of years after that. Might still be. I don't think PA is as big an enterprise as some people here think.

sorry, but I've never had a single good experience with PA. And I've even done things as 'simple' as ordering pellets. I don't know how they are in business.

Mendoza Parts are hard to find. The first and last Mendoza I tuned the client was lucky enough to speak fluent spanish and called andthe factory direct, ordered the parts that were needed to finish the tune. I would never take in another Mendoza autol loader again..:(

Well, if I have to contact mendoza direct, I probably have enough Spanish left in me to take a whack at it. I hadn't though it would be necessary, but its a fine suggestion -- even if you may not have intended to make it. Thanks!

I sent an email to Mendoza's International Sales division requesting information on parts sales and specifically parts for a Mendoza RM-2800. We'll see what they come back with.

hey everyone...i  just finished my first 500 rounds through my Mendoza 2800,,,and i love it. the fps are WAY off though. the blueing is awesome, the two blade trigger is crisp,i think the linear mag is going to be copyed by all air rifle makers...they say it holds 7 shots, but i had read it might jam so i only use 5 shots, not one jam in 500 shots...put a leapers 3-9x40..which BARELY fit....super accurate at 20-50 yards..very well made for a 200$ air rifle i'll post photos soon cheers and happy plinking

I got mine used and don't have the auto-loader, but see how it would work, and really it surprised me. I wish mine had the mag. I like the weird trigger too...about as honest a two stage as I have used -- you KNOW when you are there.

As far as the jamming, and obviously I didn't verify, I believe the jamming issue happens with pellets that are designed so the head of one will enter the skirt of the other. You need to use pellets that won't do this and then go ahead and fill it up!

i've been using RWS super domes and the meisterkugen...i'm sure thats spelled wrong lol.this gun is what i've been looking for ,it holds 7 in the magazine i load 5 shots in mine, when the guns empty you only load it once and you are ready to shot 5 rounds!! a really well made repeater....beautiful in most ways...the stock would be better in a "real" wood...the gray finish is alright but this gun deserves better....cheers Bart the Fart
