HEY EVERYBODY, I will try and make this short & this is most likely in wrong forum,BUT tune was going fine & then last night while browsing our forum's I saw post by my son michael90t & how he would like too get into airgun tune's & all your fine answer's to him, while we have talked about tune's while shooting & such & the fun it is I didn't know?I am a powder crank in heart & soul, an I have crafted several hundred weapon's in my life for myself and other people & as this tune would of been my first air while interesting is nothing really new for me,SO to shorten this I dumped all the part's in a box & took them too him this morning & gave him a list of what I wanted done & in my opinion whisper (gamo) part's are rough, an that's being kind !! he has done several china tune's & is starting his first gamo tune. I'm a rough person too satisfy so I will post HIS tune in the shop sec. when done as if I was a sender!!! THANK'S FOR LISTENING ? (hope all you have been shown & seen work for you boy,GOOD LUCK, the old man)

OH I WILL, YEAH RIGHT! but he is use to my way's & he's full growed & haired now for a while, he'll make it & I like what he learned on powder & paintballing & applied so far too his gun's,I'll be fair(kinda lol)!!??!

he was here when gun was taken apart I'm not that mean:)
-
Did you take the trigger appart also Jay..? Your bad..:)
-
naw MR.GENE but if I"d been thinking HA HA,but he is slapping bob's trigger in too.
-
Sounds interesting Jay, .. I'm sure it will be just fine. - Talking about the Whisper, I sent mine to PA to have a Nitro Piston installed. Should be getting it back tomorrow, looking forward to that first "test drive".
-
lol I'm sure he'll have no problems getting it purring in no time.:) Ed
-
I'm sure it will be too ,he's gun smithed for year's & he's semi smart LOL,just figured I give him the exper.,let me know about nitro piston set up it's something I've looked at & wondered about.

Just took the converted Whisper .17 cal for a "test drive" Jay - absolutely great!!! ... First off, it's had a GRT-III trigger since day one, a BIG plus. It's kind of a limited test drive, I only put around 50-60 pellets through it, but a VERY nice improvement. - While I don't have a chrony, I know it's faster, by a good number, whatever that may be. It's takes a tad more effort to cock, but no problem at all. With the temp extremes we have here, and the ability to leave it cocked for hours etc. - a good choice. Accuracy was at least as good, maybe a tad better, but that's splitting hairs too much. - After the "short test drive", - I have no problem recommending the Nitro Piston conversion. - What it will be after 800 or 2000 shots I have no idea, but the same I hope.

Thank's NorthPack for remembering to get back& letting me know about your nitro upgrade, they sound like they are worth the little extra price ,did pa tune inner's of gun as well as piston install?or had you already done that.and if you don't mind keep me informed about temp & humidity change to p.o.a. & all(I know how your weather is in new hampshire I drove over road for a while in your area ,pretty area, but man you all have weather that'll change in 10 min. & some serious friggen mountain's)temp & all seem's to effect my whisper alot in shooting & dif. want to know about break in & long term indurance of it if you don't mind? And hey my tune is just done too (it's on this area on down) we can compare the break in time, how they handel, pentration test's and anything else we can throw at them it would be interesting to know between ram & spring(I'll slow down ,I've already shot about 150 in mine) so let me know if your interested in compare testing ?TAKE CARE JAY

I doubt they did anything more than what they were paid to do, - install the Nitro. Aside from the GRT-III trigger, it's still factory. _ You're right about the weather changes, - there's an old sayin' about it, .... "If you don't like it now, - just wait a few minutes." The Monadnock Region and especially the White Mountains are beautiful, can't get enough.
