These are powder burners and I have zero idea what they should/could be worth. A college shooting team apparently is looking to sell these old rifles. Very nice models but very beat up. I thought about possibly acquiring one but only if the price was right. Any thoughts on value would be appreciated.

And brand names and model numbers can be handy too... if the photos suck. :p

Casey, found few auctions with these in better shape just below $1000. How much are they asking?
-
The guy is just asking for offers since he really doesn't know what to charge/ask. He hasn't thrown anything out there yet.
-
They are Anschutz Super Match 54 model 1413. That's about all I know.

My bad... I didn't realize that the first and second posts were the same guy. Duh.
Throw out a $500 offer for the one in best condition, and see if it sticks.
Best 'O luck...

Forget the woodwork -- is the rifle mechanically OK? An Anschutz 54 action in good shape is a thing of beauty. I agree -- lowball the offer ( $400-500) and see what he says. If you are in the market for a match-grade 22LR, it could be a great deal. How many does he have? Are there, perchance, any LH models? Check in with RimfireCentral.com -- lots of folks there more knowledgeable than me. If you would like to PM me, I can give you a couple of contacts that will know a lot more about this offering than me, but my gut feeling is jump on this if the offer is good. The Anschutz 54 models are highly sough after and are know to be great shooters. Wish I had one!

PM sent. I emailed an offer to the seller. We'll see how it goes.
