Good day Starling sniping....the wind died down quite abit compared to a few days ago. Last session I only had a 1:12 kill ratio!!! Today I improved to 1:4. Furthest shot was 52 yards...last bird of the day...and a big one, I think that one's a male. The closest shot was 32 yards. Second bird got hit in the left temple (You can see the blood/damage in the photo) and knocked it's right eye out abit!!!
Used a FX Cyclone spitting out .177 CPHPs with the aid of a Simmons 6.5X20-44mm AO scope on 12 magnification.

Once again a great job on the starlings. Boy you sure seem to love those eye shots.

Very nice shooting Stanley! I I have yet to shoot a small bird at 52yds. I got close with a crow last year at around 50-51yds but that' s a lot bigger than a Starling.

Many thanks fellow airgun hunters. I would like to take credit for the head-shots....but I can`t since I aim for center mass. It`s the wind, the inconsistancy of the pellet(s) or me that caused the pellet to drift towards their head....which I`m not complaining!!!!
Three of the Starlings were carrying eggs in their gut; Two had not fully developed eggs and were quite small, the other one had a larger egg....you can see the yellow yoke inside. Two weeks ago my Crosman Storm XT nailed one with just two yokes inside her....the shells didn`t even form around them yet. So in a way I got rid of 7 un-born Starling chicks!!!!
