: Scope mounts for a Marauder?
: Zzyzx May 09, 2010, 09:37:17 AM
I did a few searches and could not get this to come up. A  inch tube scope for a .177 calibre Marauder... which scope mounts so all will work at its best?

Tried a few sales sites but no info I could find there.

Thanks in advance.

Best bet is two piece accushot mounts. You can buy them for about $10.00 at Pyramyd..

Which work the best so the scope isn't in the way of the magazine? The medium or high rings?
Sorry to sound so uninformed but that is what I am here. No knowledge of what works for the scope on this rifle.

Actually Josh the height of the rings depends on the size scope AO you are using.  Two piece rings no matter what height will give you enough room for the magazine.

Which scope are you getting?
There are some scopes with large windage elevation section in the middle that can come very close to the top of the clip.
You should be able to get the dimensions of the scope from the mfg website and get and get a pretty good idea if it is going to interfere.

I use the same rings that Gene is talking about on my 177 and 22 cal Mrod that agin like Gene say will depend on what size scope you want to put on you rifle.Mine is the high profile because I use the bigger objective and have the scope cap covers on my mrods . The old rule of thumb is the closer to the stock the better.Another words not streaching your neck out to strain to see down through the scope. My set-up is a tad high in reguards to comfort. I do adjust myself in order to shoot rifle as far as face placement on the stock. Sorry to be so windy.
