Well I got a reply from Crosman regarding my inquiry about my Trail XL velocity numbers. Basically they stated that the pellets I am using are heavier than their pellets and my altitude will slow the gun down. Nothing earth shaking there as I already knew that. So they really never said whether they thought the numbers low or not. One interesting thing she suggested was that I put a spacer behind the breech seal, as that may raise the velocity. In my reply I noted that my factory breech seal is basically flush with the breech face. So they are sending me out two spacers (she said I should only need 1 and a spare) and an extra breech seal (in case I damage it taking it out) Even gave me a tip on installing the new breech seal. If this increases velocity great, and if not, that’s ok too. I am waiting for my trigger from Charlie, so hopefully I can install all the pieces at the same time. When I take off the stock to install the trigger, I may go inside to clean up the extra oil. Based on what I see in the stock slot, it needs it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very pleased with the support I’m getting from Crosman. I have read nothing but good reviews about their Customer Service. As I have stated before, I think there is a lot to like about the Benji Trail XL.

Nathan, I have dealt with Crosman and they are #1 in my book for customer service. Puts Gamo and a couple other companies to shame...:)

Nathan, Please post back when you get that seal. I had one sent to me too for my Trail XL but it doesn't look like the right breech seal for my gun. I am interested to know what you get. Mine came in a little envelope with a number written on it that I assume is the part number. I have no way of cross-referencing it as I'm not aware of a parts diagram for our rifle online. I would like to see a picture of this spacer too as I need some kind of spacer. Mine is flat too but so far passing the wax paper test.
OK, went and found my envelope. It has B20-00-3 written on it. I looked again, just looks too small.
