whats the most accurate springer out there for say under 550?
is it scoped for that price?
just getting some ideas in my head here lol

Tough call, most of the better guns are going to be more accurate than the guy (or gal) pulling the trigger. Range plays a big part in the equation, too. 10M guns are phenomenal at 10M, not so much at 50 yards :-). If you're talking a general use gun, some targets, some plinking, some hunting, you still have a lot of choices. The TX 200 and HW 77/97 are right at the top of your price without scope, maybe a little over brand new. The Beeman R9/HW 95 has to be on the list, as well as several Diana's. My 34 is incredible out to 35 yards. The Gamo CFX is also an extremely accurate rifle, but MUST be tuned for best results. I'm sure lots of guys will pop up with various Chinese clones, but I don't care how good they may be, a clone is still just a copy, the original is ALWAYS better IMO :-). Bet that starts a cat fight ;-)! Besides, I'm sick of EVERYTHING being made in China. I'm sure there's a ton of other choices, but those are the ones off the top of my head. Funny, all the guns in my current collection are on that list :-). Later.

well the use will be targets out to 50 yards and also a rabbit or crow at 50 here and there with majority being targets
id prefer .22 but .177 if its good on a Rabbit at 50
i like the TX alot but again its atop the price without the scope
what about a Cometa fusion in .22? and ill top off with an airmax or eclipse scope?
are the cometas accurate? and what about weight?
i just sold my accurate 48 due to it being the weight of a boat anchor

i want to beable to hit the bottom of a pop can at 50 without being to hold sensative
i dont think a soda cans botton is to unresaonable at 50 to hit
is it?
also what about the trail xl?
is this gun accurate and not too hold sensative thats an option also

What are you going to use the gun for? I would say for just accuracy I would look at the 97K or the TX200 both are the 2 top most winning FT rifles.

Either will get you to that distance in .177 but, you will not have much energy for game at that range about 6 fpe. If you are looking for energy the 20cal would be a good choice. I've seen rabbits taken out to 50 with springers in .177. You shooting has to be spot on. My other thought would be a RWS 34 compact. Send it to Rob Hawkins for a full blown tune w/ trigger job. Get a hawke airmax 4-12 and you will be close to the money you want to spend. The shorter barrel will help with accuracy at longer distances.

Don't overlook the Cometa line. I've been drooling over a Fusion or Fenix for a while. I would also point out my sig and the guns listed. If they don't shoot accurate, I can't have them in my stable. ALL of my AGs are nail drivers, with the exception of the 760 and QB-57. Still EXTREMELY accurate but not that powerful for me to class them as nail drivers. There's a lot of tack/nail drivers out there for under $550 glassed.

For under $550,....find a used R1. Clones are ok, but like Daved said,..the real thing will always be better. I think the key to finding the most accurate rifle, is to find the rifle that You can shoot the most accuratly,...be it any brand or model. There are really too many great rifles out there to say "this one is better than this one". And we all know every rifle shoots different, even two of the same make and model. Some more so than others. tjk

Bone stock best one I have is my 350, and I cannot wait to get the pg2 kit in it. If you order it id get the rifle and call pyramid to see if you can throw a better scope on the striker combo. The leapers scope it comes with is good but dosent do it justice. I am looking hard at a 6-24x50 for mine. And a the ranges your talking It would definatly have to be a mag springer. I have a Big cat and Hunter, both have several mods and have been home tuned, they are pinpoint out to 40-45 but the power is not there to take a rabbit at that range. I shoot them at grackles and squirrels out to 25-30 max. Thats the range I start to switch to the 350 unless I dont have to worry bout blowing through the target then ill use th 350 at all ranges. I can hit trainer golf balls at 65 yard consistantly with it and it has enough power in 177 to penetrate clean through a 16 oz plastic soda bottle at 55 yards. The 350 is my favorite and would be my suggestion for this. Im sure the NP XL in 22 will come up. Its tied with the Mrod on my list of nexts.

a rws 48.22 are hard to beat but if u can get it in .20 cal excellent ,side levers,and under lever are much better as far as accuratecy is concern not by much but enough to be closer than the break barrel ,i never had a tx200 but many good reviews on them,anther great one i have shot is the r9 .20 cal 800fps sweet trigger about 2lbs and they are costing 479 at pyramid air u could get a decent scope for 80 to 90 dollars and they have the coupon thats good to about the end of may which is stated in the bargin gate ...Good luck and take your time.....jorge

i just sold my 48 due to it being about as heavy as a small vehicle, lol
is the 350 hold sensative?
and i have a 43 fpe b51 if i need a ton of power out there
i have nailed crows with my LD at 50 so i dont think i need a 30 fpe gun but id like to keep around 20 if i can.
I like the 350 pro compact as well as the BSA lightning looks wise but performance wise i dont knoow really
I dont want a hold sensative gun
i know all springers are hold sensative to a degeree but some are less than others
i went on straitshooters and can get a Benji trail NP (24 fpe) with a hawke Map6 scope and pellet sampler and rings in .22 for 479 shipped
i may go this route but i need to see some 50 yards groups first

yes the 350m is hold sensitive i have one and they are great but you already know that u have to master the hold on that magnum otherwise its useless like the rws48 same thing ,the npss are magnum rated also but its better its gas ram and you dont have to worry about spring fatigue ,and holds heavier pellets better then a springer would even though its not recommendable ,changing the trigger that charlie made specifically for those i would recommend totally just dont change it untill u have a few shots and everything is fine with it so u wont have a problem changing it .great choice if u decide to route it in that directon ....jorge lopez...

Get Beeman R-9 or hw 95, you can never go wrong with either one. I can hit the same hole over and over again out of 26 yards with my R-9's.

Crow if you are going the Crosman route I would do the Remington version. Gene did a review of both and said the build quality on the Remington/ Crosman was much better. 6-24 is going to be a lot of glass for a springer. JMO

I can get 1.5-2" groups with my .177 TX at 80 yards, benched, and I'd consider myself an average shooter. Not that the FPE is really there to hunt with at that range, but it definitely has "bottom of pop can" accuracy at 50 yards. With Baracudas/Kodiaks, I'll take head shots on pigeons up to 30 yards, where I can easily keep my groups under 3/4" (usually closer to 1/2"), and after that it's chest shots out to around 60 yards.
My .22 Trail XL is very hold sensitive, and I still haven't put it to good use for hunting because I don't trust it past about 15 yards. I haven't given up on it yet, though...

Get a FWB 300 and install a merlin spring in it. Should be within the budget and you can shoot matchsticks with it. Merlin spring will get you in the 650 fps range.

The less hold sensitive rifles are LOW powered. The more power, the more vibration, and thus more hold sensitive. A custom tune and custom fitted guiderod will reduce vibration and thus hold sensitivity, but it will not eliminate it.
IMHO, power + not hold sensitive in a spring rifle is asking for the cake and to eat it too.
The only way I know of to get power and not be hold sensitive is to go to CA/PCP, where it does not have the moving mass and vibration of a spring rifle.
