My wife lets me shoot in the garage8)Howneat is that? I told her it keeps the neighbors from complaining and calling the police. Afterknockingdown 56 tree rat in my back yard she still believes the neighbors will complain, haha. So I go into the garage to plink andalso to zero my scopes.OnceIsight-in at60ft,I find theaim pointand impact point at 15ft from my wall. If Ineed to remove the scope I can use the same points to sight-in at 15ft and be dead on at 60ft. I'malucky man?
Every year or so I hit it with some joint compound and start all over:emoticon:
I know, you wish you had a wife so niceynice.:p

I do have a wife like that, she lets me shoot wherever I feel that it is safe !
By the way, are you shooting into sheet rock ????? :o
If so, I would reinforce the front of that backstop with 3/4 inch plywood, or better !
Keep an eye out on the wall on the other side of the garage wall !!!!! :o

Yeah, you need to see the back side of the wall you're shooting!!!! (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)
What AG are you using? Anything over 400fps or so is destroting the back side. I had a 3/4"particle board backstop set out at 25 yards and my guns were still blowing through that. I had to double layer it to stop the rounds from passing through to whatever is behind it, like my shop. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)
You can spackle the front but a little more shooting and you won't have a front to spackle. The whole thing will fall out.
Happy Shooting!!!!

My QB is about 740fps, 17.1g Beemsn Silver Arrow w/ 12g CO2 x 1. Rodents' Rapture(the bigger 2240) can do830fps, 17.1g Beeman SA@ 3000psi with the PM-HiPAC. The little guyis stock (except for striker spring) but can still do 500+,17.1G Beeman SA@ 2000psi with the PM-HiPAC. Evenafter being in the fridge for 30 minutes
I replaced the siding on the exposed outside of my garage about 1-1/2 yrs ago. I drilled and screwed a 4x4" x 1/16" thick sheet of light weight aluminum alloy to the outside of the wall, then i put 7/16 OSB sheeting over that and used 1-1/4" screws to install the siding. I was gonna do it on the inside behind the sheetrock but was worried about a ricochet. I had to drill the OSB where it covered the plate but it was worth the extra effort. I hear the pells hit the plate every time. With the shots so spaced out I didn't see any damage when I removed the old siding. Most of the pells didn't even leave a dent. I built a greenhouse on back of my garage about 22yrs ago. A lot of the replacement siding i used had been inside my greenhouse since I built it and is as hard as a rock. Ishot a peice and the pellsbounce off of it like it was a brick. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION. There's not much wood harder than 25 yr old 1" yellow pine.

Would it not just be as easy to build a trap& not have to spackel or worry about pen. sooner or later?and mine doesn't say a word even if I shoot .22 humming bird round's in basement(can't spell spanish name of round's)& they work off of ELLY primer mix(really smell's funny/bad).with pellet's a 2 x 10 is shot apart in a month or so with me,but hey it's your garage.

Then you too have a wonderful woman.
I havea trap. It get too many holes in it and i end up having trash and pellets all over the place. Then, when ichanged orremoved my scope to work on my 2240 i had to replace the targetevery 10-20 pellsor had toclean it upand cleanit out every day. My way there's nothing to clean. All of the trash and pells go in the wall. Besides, i plan on selling in the next 5 yrs anyway.
It works out real well and it's very easy to zero-in. I just shoot a hole anduse it as my 1st aim point. Then I use the 2ndhole as my new aim point if it's not too far off the 1st hole. Then I use the2ndhole.....well, you get the picture. That's why it looks like worms. I just follow the holes. Told my wife I had to do it that wayin orderto shootstraight. She believed it so i'm good
