I am plugging input into chairgun software and one of them calls for scope height. I have medium rings secured to a fixed weaver rail on my Trail NP airgun. The scope is a Leapers 3-9X40 and am wondering how to measure scope height. The default setting for scope height on the chairgun software is 1.75" but I want the data to be as accurate as possible.

Do I measure from top of the barrel to the middle of scope lens?

Scope height is 1i/2 barrel diameter,+ 1/2 objective lens diameter + distance from top of barrel to bottom of objective lens. or you can do it without the math.Use a target or draw a cross on a paper and put the barrel very close then look through scope. line up crosshairs on cross and shoot a pellet, measure from point of aim to where pellet hit and you have the scope height.

Thanks guys,

I did it both ways and came up within .05" of each other so I split the difference.
