My brother and I went bear hunting this last weekend and these are some of the (other) events. We arrived Friday night after work and got to the woods with just about enough time to set up camp prior to it getting dark. I was awakened around 0100 with some clanking in our dishes from dinner. I figured it was a bear, as this same thing has happened to me on several other occasions. So I grabbed my 44 mag and peaked out of the tent to not see anything. I woke my brother and told him what was going on. The two of us snuck out of the tent with lights and guns just to find a pack rat. My brother grabbed a nearby hatchet and chased it around a large tree several times while I retrieved the Mendoza. The rat was looking straight at my brother with him shining the light in it's eyes after I retrieved the AR and it never knew I came up from behind the tree. I sent it a 22 cal RWS superdome which ended the chase around the tree. I took a picture of us holding a pack rat, hatchet and the Mendoza in which I will spare you as my brother and I are both still in our underwear. I threw the rat into the bushes and the next morning upon looking at him had landed on his back and after rigamortize at set looked quite funning when putting him back upright. It looks like he is just standing there.
After our morning hunts my brother and I would go out with our pellet rifles and shoot tree squirrels and red diggers. I have also included a photo of some morrelles that we fixed up with some steak for one of our meals. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Erickp my Mendoza is the RM600. It shoots about 570fps, and is going to be upgraded to a 22 cal Mrod.

Nice shooting Suede!!! The "blooper" did well.
I'm thinking the Marauder will be here in a month, two at the latest. Then the critter count will get serious. At this rate, 504 critters in 5 months, your on pace for a "1200+" year. Not bad. All we need are a couple more good trips to "The Farm" near the end of the year.

Sounds great Doug, I can't wait till the Mrod shows itself. I know that this trip would have had even better numbers. And I don't we should wait for the end of the year to go back to the farm.
