: crowpopper May 18, 2010, 05:07:25 PM
i have an MK3 on the way next week
i have 2 scopes here to use on is a gamo 4   x 32 got with a gun from gamo
and 2 bushnell 3-9 x 32 scopes
both of the bushnells worked well for me on my 22lr's
so is this scope ok on a TX
i dont plan to do any FT right away
just mainly plinking and some light hunting with it
main thing is i want a small scope because its a heavy gun
i also have a 6-24 x 50 Tasco varmint scope wth AO if i decide to try FT ill put that on it i think
but for now will the 3-9 keep me on target

all depends if they are springer rated

I believe I've heard/read that ALL Bushnells are springer rated, a little research should be able to verify that.  I have Centerpoint 3-9's on my CFX and Diana 34, but my TX is wearing a Burris Timberline 4.5-14x32.  One of my favorite scopes, it's light and compact, and a great bang for the buck at around $200 IMO.  That said, if you have the Bushies on hand, try it, if it works, great, if not, you can get a better feel for what you want.  If you DO end up buying a new scope for it, you'll want one with a gloss finish, the TX warrants :-).  Later.

Is the TX a scope killer?? Generally not because it is fairly mild recoil and shoots smooth like a lot of pro-tuned guns. But anything is possible.

I picked up a nikko stirling mount master 4x12x50 scope pretty cheap for my .177cal b40. I think natchez has a sale on bushnell scopes I got a email like 80 bucks for a sportsman 3x9x32 scope with a 4x32 in the package

The Bushnell scopes are very good and tough. They are the scope I use now, and I am impressed with their performance. I'm in the process of replacing my other scopes with Bushnell's. I haven't had a problem with my 4-12X40 Trophy or my 4-12x40 Banner scopes yet, and they are short and light weight. The new 3-9's are airgun rated, but I can not vouch for older ones. However, you should consider more glass (4-12 and maybe more) for that high quality tx200
