I am ready to shoot my .177 with my 12ga. instead of turkey's!. I can't seem to find a way to keep the scope on the rifle! I have tried tightening to the point of stripping threads. Through bolts with loctite, sanded the dovetail groove and scope mounts then loctite... NOTHING is working for me! the only thing I can come up with that I haven`t done yet is weld the scope mounts right to the dove tail groove! anyone have any better ideas?

First if you are using 2 rings switch to a 1 piece mount. Degrease EVERYTHING(screws, holes, rail and clamp) before using Loctite. Make sure you allow Loctite to dry 24-48 hours before using your gun. Also check your seals, a bad breech or piston seal will make for harder piston slam. Here is a rock solid mount. http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/BKL_1_Pc_Mount_4_Long_1_Rings_3_8_or_11mm_Dovetail_6_Base_Screws_Matte_Black/2893
