I have the UTG compensator mount on my Diama 48 with a Bushnell Trophy 4-12x40 scope, and it works fine. However, I would like to mount the scope closer to the barrel for an easier cheek weld, and maybe closer vertical shot groups at different distances. Any suggestions for remounting the scope would be appreciated.

Larry, don't know about removeing mount(is it diff. than a normal mount?) But you can place a recoil cheek piece gotten at most sporting place's on stock to raise eye more in line with your scope,it's what I used on my whisper to raise my head & still have cheek wield.

Hawke make a nice low mount and with a HawkeBase I think is # hm17101 is quite low and may work for you:)

Thanks Magnum. I will look into the Hawke Base. It may just be what the doctor ordered!

You are correct. The base on the UTG one piece mount is raised on the rear for the Diana barrel droop. However, it may be possible to accomplish the same droop compensation with a lower adjustable mount/rings, or perhaps shimming on low reguular mounts/rings.

Check out Gene's review of the mounting system I sell:

It has a reversible pin that will brace against the 48s raised rail.
PM me if you want it $40 shipped.
