I was just sitting on the back deck enjoying the beautiful morning sipping my Java and watching the pretty bird's having breakfast when I spotted a intruder slinking into my yard. I froze in mid sip and eyeballed him as he made his way to the feeders and told myself if he stay's on the ground to eat the fallen seed I'll let him ride. He passed by me on the deck and headed for the tree up front that carries all the feeders but the seed on the ground wasn't good enough as he headed right up the tree. :0 I slowly got out of my deck chair and slipped inside the backdoor and for the gun room. I had the B26 out to wipe her down so I just grabbed her and loaded a CPHP. I did a quick peak out the front window to see the nutter hanging off a feeder filling his cheeks and dumping seed everywhere. :0 I headed for the back door and inched out onto the deck then to the corner of the house to poke a eye out around the corner. The nutter was unaware of the barrel inching around the corner followed by the scope that rested the cross hairs on the sweetspot, just filling his cheek's. He dropped his head to get another mouthful and as he sat back up I sent the CPHP which found it's mark in a wink of an eye. The nutter dropped from the feeder hit the grass and did several death roll's but then stiffened up his tail and expired. I set the B26 down in the chair next to me and finished up my cup of Java then went to retrieve this mornings harvest for some pic's. I've taken several nutters and Bandit's along with some pest birds from this spot, 15yrds so it was just a matter of dropping em and retrieving em hehe. I had him dressed out in a jiffy and wrapped for the icebox and poured myself another cup of Java and continued my morning deck meditation. I have been night hunting but things have slowed along with some day hunt's between tunes the resident keep's telling me to get up there in the evening since the G-hog's are coming out around 7:00pm, got to get a G-hog. Nice shooting Ed. It's funny how you just happened to be cleaning that B26 :) I have a feeling you never go out on the deck without an airgun, hehehe. When I am in the back porch in the morning having my coffee and relaxing listening to the song birds, I always have 1 or 2 windows up and a gun leaning on the wall :)
Yeah what is going on with the web site? I tried posting a pic a few days ago and couldn't. It's been very slow lately too or seems to be down throughout the day. Did the server get hacked again?

Last year I went squirrel hunting with another guy on 32 wooded acres that he was taking care of for the landowner. We started at 7am and after shooting a few squirrels and chipmunks, we did not see any for the last hour, and started making our way towards the cars by the road. Well as soon as we exited the woods, in those last 30-40yds to the vehicles (and also 10ft from our cars) we saw at least 4-5 of the biggest gray squirrels I have ever seen, just standing there looking at us in very close proximity. Of course we were too close to the road and a house and couldn't do anything. It always happens.. which reminds me of the one time I went deer hunting in PA. After not seeing any deer all day, we walked a couple of miles back to the car parked by the side of the road, and there is a nice 6-pointer with 3-4 does just 30yds away across the street out in the open eye-balling us. They hung around for a couple of minutes tormenting us. My friend who knew he couldn't shoot resting on the car or over a road, finally couldn't take it and reloaded his .308. He then slowly walked across to the other side. He leaned on a tree and took aim which was still illegal just a few feet from this country road, but then all of a sudden the buck just leaped forward and disappeared into the woods. Sometimes it is just not meant to be..
