At about 8 pm last night I ventured into our three season room and as I'm staring out the window a grackle swoops down in the back corner of my yard. He looked very occupied as he dug for worms so I grabbed the RWS 48 and loaded a predator. I slowly opened the door, just propping it open enough to get the muzzle and clear scope view out the door. I waited until he put his head up and put the crosshairs on his chest then pulled the trigger. Got it right in the heart. Went down with a thump and never moved.

Nice shot with the 48!
I got one too 2 days ago. Classic feathers flying everywhere moment :) He was eyeing the Robin nest which in a small tree only 6ft up and 2ft from the back of the house. It had 2 eggs in it and no Robins in sight, so I took care of that problem..
