: NPSS Recoil Question
: gspec June 03, 2010, 06:06:35 AM
Hey everyone,

My "Remington" NPSS (177) I know from my experience is a very accurate gun, I have the CBR trigger on it and I love the gun but the only problem is that the recoil is so harsh that I cant follow through most of my shots due to the recoil being so harsh and jerky. I'm still pretty new to air gunning but compared to my crosman g1 the recoil is much quicker and much more harsh. Is there any way I can reduce the recoil of my gun so I can shoot more accurately?

When I put the death grip on it when it's rested and I can some what duplicate the recoil pattern and I get great results but when i'm free hand shooting the gun is just to jerky to shoot accurately. I know I can shoot free hand with my g1 pretty well though so I don't believe it's the shooter in this case, I could be wrong :\

thanks!
Collin

Hey Collin, have you run her accross the chrony to see what fps she is shooting? This may be a clue.

My NPSS has a sharp and quick recoil but not any harder than my springers.

you are anticipating the recoil and tensing up before the shot. thanks david
