About a week ago I received a wonderful piece of craftmanship, a shroud and brake by Gene for my S1K. I had discussed, with Gene, an idea that I had for a shroud, that would go back over the top of the breech block and would cover up the rear site screw holes. After days later I got a package that had exactly what I was thinking about, only better. I opened the package and unwrapped it, looked at the fit and finish of the 3 pieces, which was outstanding, I was impressed. :) I wrapped it back up and went back to work on my redesign of my B-3 stock. Later that evening I got it back out and was going to put it on. I held it up beside my S1K to take another look and dropped it :0 , sorry Gene. It ended up with a scratch about 2" long, instead of doing the simple thing and touching it up with a marker, note to self use a marker next time, hehe. I proceeded to sand the scratch out and was going to repaint, no big deal, or so I thought. Unknown by me at this time the tab that was to cover the screw holes also cracked when I dropped it. :0 So you guessed it, it broke off. :0 Note to self superglue works to, but no I didn't do that. My wheels got to turning as I looked at my S1K and my B-3, hey maYbe I can make a couple of more pieces and get 2 brakes and shrouds, got a plan now. 8) Since the tab was broke off and I haven't discovered superglue yet, I made a new shroud for the S1K, not straight though. :0 I made a brake for the B-3 to use with the broke shroud, if that makes since. :o It ended up that every thing worked out ok, but it was alot of work, pen and glue, if there's a next time, hehe. Since I do not have a lathe, I had to use my moto tool to cut out some new bushings and other pieces. Anyway here's what I came up with, after my fubar, sorry again Gene. :0 The first pic shows the tab that I fubared, the next one is 2 bushings that I made.

Well atleast you salvaged it and it still look's great. :) Give's the (B) a tough look, nice save Mike. and the Gamo got in on the action too. Ed

Should have used glue and a pen, hehe. It wasn't easy getting the 3 pieces of pipe to fit to make the brake on the B, but it will look sweet when I get the stock redone. Making it fit better and inlet a rubber butt pad, plus a few other things. 8)

Yeah, rubberized kryptonite that's what I need, hehe. I just need to remember not to mess with stuff after a couple of muscle relaxers and a few cold bevs.hehe Actually I need to get some more tools, it's rough on the eyes and fingers to do that holding a piece of pipe in one hand and a moto too in the other.
