I see that Cobra Airguns is selling the GAMO 220 in .22 caliber. The site says they are out of stock right now but also says you can pre-order one to reserve one when they are back in stock. Perhaps GAMO is in fact reintroducing the .22 guns to the US market??

Can't say enough about my Gamo Hunter 220.22, deadly and very smooth with that CDT trigger. ;} Ed
-
Ed, what are the specs on the .22 rifle? Is it worth buying??
Thanks
Don't want to be left out. hehe

Eric, I recieved mine from DanoInTx and she was converted from a .177 to a .22 Hunter. She's like new and shoot's 700+ fps with Gamo Hunters, she's my P-DOG killer.Ed
-
You shoot that thing much Ed? I always thought it was the smoothest Gamo I had shot.....and that was out of the box. Add the "de-barrel noiser" and it was really sweet. I'm thinking now that I have a nice springer, and a good pistola, and my B50 is starting to group that I want a super PCP...like maybe a Sumatra!
Oh, so many guns to try, so little time....such is life:)

Sure do Dano and as I said, it's my P-DOG hunting gun and when I throw some Predators at em from the 220, they drop. };) She's so very smooth. Ed
-
He Ed what kind of FPS do you get out of that 220? Looking for a starling gun with some thwack :) And only way id really concider it is if it was making more than 14 fpe.
-
Jason, she's throwing the Predators at 700+ fps and I'm dropping P-DOG'S at 40+ yrd's. Ed
-
That's really good, Ed, that works out to just under 20 fpe. I was getting just under 25 fpe when I had my RWS 350, but I'll bet your 220 is a damn sight easier to shoot! Makes me want one of those .22 CFX's even more, especially with a gas ram conversion :-)! Now if I could just figure out how to talk the wife into it... without ending up sleeping in my shop for the next month! BTW, the .22 220 at Cobra is out of stock already.

OMG OMG I that sucks. i hope I can get me one of those cfx's :( or maybe someone will buy 2. Then maybe get the evil eye and have to sell one. If so I got first dibs :)
Oh and dave how did that 350 shoot? Was it as hold tolerant as everyhting else or pretty smooth?
-
I never did get comfortable with, sold it and used the money to buy my HW 77. I don't know that I'd call it hold sensitive, I actually had to use a really firm hold to get it to shoot reasonably. The problem was that between the death grip I needed to keep it under control, and the recoil, it finally beat me into submission. I shot magnum hand guns for years, but never had much tolerance for rifle recoil. I could shoot them, but never enjoyed it until I got into air rifles. The 350 just felt too much like a powder gun. Could definitely reach out and touch something, though. A friend of Black Mamba's, Maimer, bought it, and seems happy with it. But it sure cured me of springer magnumitis! Although I'm starting to feel the need for a medium powered PCP :-)! Later.

The Sumatra seems like a powerhouse. I heard they are really loud, but you can get a moderator for it.
