Got to hit the order button on a .22 CFX!  Lots of stuff going on, I think the wife felt sorry for me, but who cares, I've got a new rifle on the way!  After reading Bob's post, I was really afraid I'd miss out on the chance, my jabbering about being afraid they were a temporary thing, plus a birthday only 2 weeks away may have tipped the scale.  Already have a good scope for it, just needed another set of rings, those are coming too, along with several tins of various pellets.

Speaking of which, Gene, what pellets work best in your .22 CFX's?  I ordered Superdomes, Predators, Exacts, and FTS's.  I've had good luck with the first 3 in both .177 and .22, not so much with the FTS's but I keep trying.  But maybe they'll do better at the lower speed of the .22 CFX.  Both my old .177 CFX and my .22 350 shot FTS's at around 850 fps, I'm thinking that might be just a little too fast for that pellet.  Guess we'll see.  Looking forward to adding my review to the list.  Later.

Congrat's Dave on your new baby. :D Mine should be here by next week and Jeff should be getting his real soon. I felt the same way, better get them before their gone, I gave my .177 to my dad so we could shoot together and now I need to fill the empty spot in my gun cabnet hehe.Ed

Hey Dave, glad you have one on the way.  The rings that come with the gun are not that bad.  They have a stop pin and the receiver mount has a hole for it.  I am using those rings now and I have no scope creep or slip in close to 500 shots.  I bought a one piece mount, but the rings that came with the gun work fine and I don't see any reason to add any additional weight to the package at this time.

There was a post about 22cal rifles being more consistent than the 177s a while back.  I sure find it to be true for me, and if your experience with you new rifle is like mine, I think you will really like the way it shoots.

Gosh I LOVE this spelchek!!!

Thanks, David, I didn't know the rings that came with it had a stop pin.  No biggie, I need another set of 1"  rings anyway.  Figured I'd try something different, ordered a set of Air Force mediums.  Anyone else tried them?  I didn't see the 11mm Accushot set on PA's site, just the 3/8".  And since I'm using fairly long scopes, I decided not to go with a 1 pc. mount.  Just feels better to me if I can spread the rings out a bit.  Besides, I had to shim the scope on my .177 CFX, that's easier with a 2 pc set.

I'm actually looking forward to trying a medium power springer in .22.  The only .22 airgun I've had any experience with is the RWS 350 I sold.  Really powerful and accurate, but just too much work to shoot.  Having a .22 that's also a CFX just makes it sweeter.  I WILL be getting a gas ram in the not too distant future, as well as some other tweaks I have up my sleeve.  Not sure it's all going to be possible, but I am sure it's going to be fun :-)!  Now where the heck is my UPS driver!?
