Thanks for the great tip. Its even cheaper than the 220. Great deal for sure. Just ordered one and its on its way. Shipping was only another $15
This leaves plenty of change for the CDT trigger.

I've been lookin at them every since they first went on sale but so far I've had good self control. However,,,, I can feel my self control slipping little by little.

Oh man thats evil, if another rifle showed up at the house I may as well get used to sleeping outdoors full time. I see "Hunter" listed as a compatable rifle for a Theoben Gas Strut. What would be the results of a conversion?
Cheers

Gas ram gives a more liner recoil no torque and more consistancy which will apear as more power plus it never takes a set. If you are going to buy a gun and use it to hunt with a GasRam is the way to go. It does take more effort to cock. You can cock it and leave it cocked till your queary comes into sight. A season of hunting can wear and tear a spring leaving it cocked till you shoot.I did see and increase in velocity in my Patriot but not a lot.

I have a gas strut converted BSA and all I can say is "sweeet". DaveD has converted a CFX and said pretty much the same thing. CDT trigger, gas strut, Hunter 440, and maybe a fresh piston seal from Macarri....super sweeeeet setup. The struts are totally linear, there is zero twist. They cock very smooth also, no spring making the screen door sound. A well tuned springer would most likely be just as smooth, but this is a different feel...maybe not better, but different. The cocking effort is a little higher than a standard spring.
