: Dry firing the Daisy 717 and 953
: taxonomy July 06, 2006, 11:23:39 AM
I'm back in grad school so I am getting a lot of chair time reading journal articles.  I've started dry firing the 717 while I am reading as something to keep my body busy and maybe to improve my grip and trigger form.  I think it'll also help me develop the sort of strength that'll let me hold level into a long session of shooting.  Is it OK to dry fire a 717?  I am also wondering about the 953.  It seems OK. Anyone know for sure?

TIA

Can't remeber anything in the literature from Dasiy (and they'd have the definative answer).

Do know the 717 - 747 -777 (and I guess there are some 727's out there still firing) are very easy to detail strip; doubt any air pistol is easier to get seals in hand.  IF it were to damage any of the parts, them some time down the line you'd need to spend a few (very few) bucks and reseal it.
