Excuse my ignorance, but I am missing the hidden incentive costing 40 bucks more than a brand spanking new would cost at bestairgun.com?
I am actually on a market for one of these, just can't decide if I really want the thumbhole version.

Hi Ivan,

I think that the extra $40 for a Rich in Mich. full barrel shroud (installed), the lube tune and Macarri piston seal installed by Rich as well, and the tall cheekpiece, which some have had problems with on the B26-2 stock when trying to sight through a scope, re-shaped to a more comfortable configuration (need to do that with mine as well) ain't too bad an up-charge over the cost of a new one. I'm just guessing, but I expect the retail value of the added items and services would be a bit higher than $40, though I can't say with any certainty.

Sounds like it might be a good deal if you're looking for a B26-2 in .22, though I've got no interest, financial or otherwise, in this transaction.

Good luck if you decide to go for it.

Like Bryan, I have no interest financial or otherwise  in the rifle or the transaction, but the work done on the rifle and the "extras" mounted on it have to be taken into consideration.  Only you, the buyer, can decide if the price is worth it to you of course.

Granted, the extra modification may even be over 40 bucks but it also voids the warranty.
Therefore I always question the motive behind the sale.
Usually you do not part with a good shooter this fast and even if you have a good reason, unless you selling it to someone that knows you well, you can expect to loose a fair percentage over your original cost.
Over the years I learned the value of a "back door" availability.
There is no incentive here to go on the limb.
Hope this will not offend anyone, just old men's philosophy.

Hello Everyone,
I love the comments about the rifle. I am actually the second owner of this rifle. Let me tell the story- a gentleman purchased new on 3/7/07 and realized it didn't come with sights so we traded. As far as warranty goes , I called Bam and explain the deal and they had no problem with doing any warranty work. They are very flexible. Now the reason for selling, I purchased a Beeman R-1 which the B26-2 is cloned after. I feel no need for have 2 rifles alike. Plus I buying pcp's.  I put alot of time in this rifle and to me is actually worth a-hell-of-alot more than I'm asking. I treat everyone fairly, I'm on the yellow BOI and have great feedback. If anyone has any questions feel free to call me at work 812-683-2763 Thanks, John

Hey John, the B-26-2 is a fine rifle. I originally bought one and could not overcome the high comb, so one of the members was selling a standard B26 stock and I got it. Now I just love mine and it is dead on accurate. I think you will find a good home for it and I want to thank you for posting it in our classifieds on the GTA. Alot of the GTA members have bought the B26 and B26-2 and have given them great reviews as well.

Again thanks and welcome aboard the GTA..

Good luck
Gene
