Just came up from my basement workshop where I finally got around to taking the .22 CFX out of the box, cleaning her up and installing the Golden Antler Scope I had put aside for her. I've been wanting to do this since I received the rifle but just haven't been able to get to it. Well, my last big chore was getting my boat ready to be dropped in the water for the season and I finished that this afternoon, so after dinner I headed down into the workshop and got to work.
I was going to use the rings that came with the scope that came with the rifle since they looked halfway decent, but I decided to use a 2 piece Accushot medium height mount instead. I've got her sitting downstairs in the gun vise while the loc-tite cures.
I'll let it dry for 24 hours and hopefully will be able to start sighting her in on Sunday if work permits. I can't wait to test her out, find her favorite pellet and get her sighted in :)
The last thing I have to do is order a trigger from CDT, probably do that this week.

Jeff, I hope all goes ok with sightng in tomorrow, I know you have waited along time to get started. What kind of boat did you get ready for the water? I just sold a`95 stratos 284f/s and a`98 bayliner trophy 2002, I wish I could still go fishin, like I used to, I'm still a lifetime member of the NAFC though. Perhaps 1 day we can get together and go fishin, I've still got access to the 2002, or may be I can come up that way. I'll dig up a few pics from past trips and post them for you.

Hey Mike,
I have a 23 foot Keywest center console w/ 200 Suzuki O/B and a custom T- top. It's a fishin machine :)
I fish mostly for bluefish, striped Bass (rockfish) , summer flounder (fluke) and basically whatever will bite. This is the latest I've ever put it in the water, normally it would've been in the marina at least a month ago, but this year I've been so busy with so many other things.
If you ever get up this way give me yell and we'll fish. I usually wind up going by myself,,, I'd welcome the company.

Jeff,
I love the CC's, when I get another one it will be 21-23ft, with twin 90's. Out in the gulf I mainly bottom fish for, red snapper and grouper, I also put out a drift line and pick up a few cobia. In the bays I fish the pier lights for, speckled trout and red fish, it's like they are in a barrel, very easy to catch a limit of 20, in 30min. Here on the easten shore of the mobile bay, we have a fanominon?, that only happens here and some where in japan, it has something to do with oxygen levels in the water. That causes the flounder, blue crabs and shrimp, to come right up to the beach, just walk along and scoop them up.
