Ok guys. here is the first prototype of the CFX muzzle brake that I am making to replace the original stock muzzle brake. The one that is in the picture below is my first attemt and I am starting on a final version which will incorporate a couple small changes which will cut my time and machineing down by 1/3.. These will be available in aluminum only or a combination of aluminum and delrin depending on version changes. The original Gamo muzzle brake was about 1 1/4" in diameter and my version is under 1" and larger than 7/8".. I forgot to measure the final O/D but if you want to know I will post it.. There is drilling, machineing, milling and tapping involved in this muzzle brake. This one is painted flat black and they will be available in stock aluminum color and flat black.. As you can see the newer size is not as big and bulky looking as the original Gamo brake

Those look great, Gene! Think you could do one in brass, to go with the gold triggers we all love so much? I want to see how it looks both ways, painted and natural aluminum. Either way, that's a hell of a lot better looking than the stock brake. Can't wait to see the final version.

Definitely good looking Gene, sure would dress up my CFX. Do you have a web page that shows your products? Couldn't find anything in the Mall.
-
LOL Dave... If it was all brass the muzzle would take a nose dive every time you picked up your CFX.. Brass would be very expensive since I would have to purchase 1" solid round stock.. Yikesssss. I would never be able to sell an all brass one cause it would cost a fortune..:) Maybe I will do some brass inleting down the road but not now at least..:)

Probably next week on the web site. I am waiting on PayPal for the final setup. Thanks for you compliments though. I will be starting on production for them next week as well. There are several of my muzzle brakes in this forum and the shop that I have done..:)

Paypal ??? Did I hear Paypal ???? Well, there goes my life savings :) I love paypal,,, it's the buying medium I prefer over all the others since it's the only way I can make airgun related purchases without the Mrs. knowin about it :) :)
You did me in with the paypal Gene,,,,, I'll be paypaling you all the time :)

Actually, I could use the extra weight, I stuffed almost 2 pounds of duct seal in the butt of my CFX :-)! Definitely helped smooth it out, but for some reason, it's a little butt heavy now... If I supplied the brass, what would machining cost me? I have reasons for ordering some anyway, how long a peice would you need? Considering the other things I intend to do to this rifle, the cost just isn't that big a deal. Later.

You sure are an artist Gene,
You have started off GREAT! and have gotten better.
Everything that you have made is so beautiful, and makes the rifle look so much better. IMHO
