: davee1 June 26, 2007, 03:53:50 PM
I found this site while searching for Hammerli X2 bargains....best price I can find...beats out Pyramid Air by about 22 bucks and MidSouth don't carry them yet...has anybody done business with R&R Arms?

Dave, I guess I'm gonna be the guinea pig. As I mentioned in the reply to the thread just above (or maybe below, by now) regarding good prices on pellets, I just placed an order with them, so we'll see how it goes. Some of the prices look pretty good, and they SOUNDED honest over the phone ;~D

Hmm I wonder if I sound honest on the phone? lol Naww cant be I have to sound like a snake in the grass hehe. Hmm those are some pretty good prices on that site. For some reason though I have a thing about now hammerli and gamo rifles. The one gamo I have owned did everything it was spose to do....just not the way I wanted it to lol. From what I have read about hammerli's in general is the same thing. I am hopiing someone does get thisx2 thing and give it a whirl but my expectations are not high.

: just a matter of time...

Yep...I have a Hammerli Storm .22 already, and it works good except for the hard triggerpull, but for the 132 bucks I paid for it I think it was a steal.  It's just a matter of time before I get the X2...cawz I'm pretty much hooked on airguns!!!

I noticed some good prices on a lot of things on that site...I'm hopin' that it turns out to be a good place.

Just an update on the order that I placed this past Thursday with R&R Arms, for those that were curious. I got an e-mail back yesterday evening with the UPS tracking code. The order is somewhere in Mizzurra. So far so good.

Unfortunately, tomorrow I'm headed to the beach for a week, so I won't be around when it comes in. Dangit!!!  ;~D

I'm gonna miss you guys and gals...

Here's my final update:

On my way home yesterday from a week of vacation, I stopped by my workplace to see if the package had come in from R&R Arms. It apparently arrived on the morning of Tuesday, July 3. Everything was there, and pretty well packed for shipping. So it was about 5 days from placing the order to receiving it. Not bad really.

In case you're wondering, I'd ordered a Crosman 1377C (I'd had one of the older versions about 25 years ago and lost it when I accidentally left it in the trunk of a car I sold, so I needed to replace it ;~) which was as cheap as I could find on the web, some ammo in .177 and .22, and an Uncle Mike's holster for my Tempest.

I'll give them a thumbs-up...

I couldn't hold out any more...especially after Bryan got his stuff successfully.  So we'll see how the order for the Hammerli X2 goes...and I'll post back here with the results when I get my X2.
Hopefully, I'll be able to hide it from my wife. She won't know the difference between my other airguns, all I gotta do is get the package before the driver rings the bell, then I can secretly import my purchase inside the home when she's busy...If she catches me I'm in trouble...my "hobby" has grown into an obsession according to her.

went to the sportsmans warehouse today & they had the X2 for 129.00 or 139.00. if anyone is interested. dont bother with their website, you can't find or order anything off of it.
: got it!!!
: davee1 July 13, 2007, 07:27:58 PM
and now I have recieved it. Great for R&R Arms.  Smooth transaction, best price I could find on the net, 7.45 to ship to california, and 5 days to get to me.  However, I am surprised that it's made in Mexico???.  My Storm is made in Spain.  I thought Hammerli was German.  Oh well, I'll review it later, but first firings indicate lots of power.  No numbers yet, just impressions.  Fit is good but finish is really weird.  Look for my review on the reviews forum in the future after I've got over my initial shock...

yep it looks like that Mendoza from the pic except my rear sight is fiberoptic and more in the middle of the rifle. It's like the ramp sight on early crosman pumps. It looks really weird and cheap but it shoots great!!! The notch width/height and blade optic match up perfectly. Gotta go, its callin to me right now...shoot me, shoot me its sayin' :-)
: not a bargain anymore in my book...

Yeah...I can see now why they would have 'em for so cheap.  Look at one before you buy it folks. You might change your mind.  But I really can say now that R&R Arms is legit, has some good prices, and shipping is really cheap.  8 bucks to ship an airgunfrom Minnesota to California is like unheard of.
