: CFX Hunt, you got it!
: shadow July 02, 2007, 10:17:10 AM
I was pulling into my drive after a long day at the coal mines (work) and I did my second nature scan of my domain when I spotted this fella helping himself to the wife's feeders. I shut the rig off and let it roll to a stop then slid out and circled around and into my house. I knew it was time to break the CFX.22 in  so I loaded up a Predator and headed out. When I got to the back he had moved to the far corner of the yard and up my Black wallnut tree. I knew from were I was to him was close to 35yrds, I have a target at the base of the tree and I set up my shooting bench right here hehe. I pulled up and layed the crosshairs on the side of his head, took off the safety and sent one his way. The impact knocked him completly off the limb, hitting the ground with not even a twitch. Now as I admired my shot and the CFX here comes this pest to the feeder, to easy. I loaded up another and put him down at 15yrds. The nutter took one in the head between the eye and ear and the blackbird took it in the chest, overpenatration for sure. You all also get a better look at the cool new brake on the end from Gene's AirGunToys. Ed

Glad to see you givin them pesty cridders some lead for dinner buddy...:) And that CFX is capable of dishing out plenty of lead for sure. One thing I love about mine is that they are all so darn accurate.. Love the feel of the narrow forstock on the CFX Synthetic.. Ya, have to say Ed, that those brakes do look alot better than the big fat ones that Gamo uses..hehe.. One day I will find the time to make some muzzle brakes for my CFX's..:)
Great shootin as usual Ed and thanks for sharing with us.

Jason,

I'm up in LG here now... I too have declared war on the Starlings. In the last 2 days I've already plucked off 3 and 2 chippers. With any luck my GRT-III trigger should be here this week. I think we will have to have a little get-together sometime soon. Maimer (Kevin) is 6 miles or so from me, I'd like to meet him too.

Peace,

Tony

I'll get you some numbers Jason shortly, this means that I have to shoot at a target instead of a varment hehe. Ed
