Hello,
I just got a 22 cal CFX and was wondering if it is possible to mount a bipod to the rifle?
-
I'm thinking it would be rather difficult to put a bipod on a CFX you would need to attatch it to the cocking lever and theres not enough room between that and the barrel.
How ever some cleaver person here may have a solution maybe attaching it further back but then you run into trouble screwing into a plastic stock thats basically built like a ribcage.
Good question though.

Don't forget it's a springer. It may not shoot too well on a rigid rest like a bipod.

I have heard lots & lots of people say that but my CFX goes fine while on a special rest that I made for it no movement at all & right on target every time. you could how ever fun into probs with a plastic stock.

I had a powder burner which was not easily bipod-able. What I did was get a post sling swivel from http://www.brownells.com . The bipod I have is a Harris, which is high end and you can get various mounts for it. Harris also has adapters to mount bipods in various ways. http://www.harrisbipods.com/ . Scroll to the bottom to see their adapters. I do not remember what brand post sling swivel I got from Brownells, but it was like $3 and change.
The first pic is the entire setup on a different rifle than what I got the setup for, but is the same setup.
The second pic is the post swivel.
The third pic is of the bipod mount apparatus.
So you can mount a bipod on the CFX. Whether it's a wise idea, I have no idea.
