Great Ed,
I think you would need Gene's Samatra 2500 for that critter, but don't take your sneakers off yet !
That's some pretty country, you can feel God walking out there !

It might be too big for your 2240 but I'll bet my QB-78 T-Model will do da job. I just need a good clean shot to da hind quarters then run jist enuff to keep ahead of him til he drops. Then when he drops, ya just turn around and beat him all about his body with the gun butt til it's all over.... no big deal...hee hee. Least that's how I usta do it but with me goin on 70, I might tire out to early while beatn' on him. Mite be a problem...lol...
-
LOL Bob, ok I'm game. We'll haul boot's up there, you shoot him and I'll beat him with my car. I still think that were on the losing end of this though hehe. Ed

Yep, those are awesome creatures for sure.
I was driving through South Dakota a buncha years ago and wanted to rest. I saw a rest stop sign and followed the signs which took me off Interstate 90, an exit. I never encoutered that before, all the many rest stops I have been to have been right on the interstates. Anyway, I pull off I-90 and as I enter the rest stop, I see a sign saying something like don't feed the buffalo/bison or stay clear; something like that. I was thinking "man that sign must be old". Sure enough, I park and see this monster of a bison grazing about 50 yards outside the perimeter of the rest stop. I was in awe... I am a city boy.
Very cool experience.

Bob, you could take me along with you. That way, you wouldn't necessarily have to run faster than that big ol' buffalo- you'd just have to run faster than me!!!
