How about a 4130 steel muzzle protector?
~
1-1/8" od x 0.593" id x 8-1/8" long with a 0.71" > 0.708" taper cut 1/4" deeprecess for the 0.708" odbarrel sleeve. Threaded end cap has a 1/4" opening thatafter a coupledozen shots with the .22 cal model 52 hasremained 'lead smear' free.
~
The requested matte finish looks quiteready to blue.

Not sure about noise since theaction itself is so loudand although thePOI is about 4" higher at 30m,still getting dime sized 10 shot groups with JSB jumbo. This is the only diana I have that likes the JSB, the others much prefer crosman premiersand logun penetrators.
