I asked them if my dad's ffl will work, they said no only a lisenced and insured gunsmith now. WTF
Kind of irratating time on the phone with this guy. I even asked well how much is it so have an idea. They said they wont release that information. bah humbug

Contact the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms,,,,, they'll give you all the information you need to file for such a license.

Thre is no such  federal license for a "licensed and insured gunsmith'.  The FFL (Federal Firearms License) only allows one to deal in firearms.  The guy you spoke with is an idiot.

Thanks alot for the referance. I was kind of wondering why he wouldnt take a FFL for the item. I mean my dad can call midsouth and get discounts on airguns and the like, why not directly with gamo.

Sounds like they do not want to sell products.

As a side note, Gamo has dis continued all .22 caliber rifles.

Here is the email I just rec'd from them;

Hello,

Our line of .22 caliber air rifles have been  discontinued.
Thank you,

Makes one wonder, are they getting out of the business, has anyone heard?

I hope thats not true because the CFX .22 was on my list to purchase.  Guess I'll have to do some horse trading or selling to pick one up earlier S**T. When I get break later I'll shoot them an email to see if I get the same response.

I called to make sure the email they sent was good info. and they confirmed no more .22 calibers.

They also said they were not going out of business.

I did some looking on the net and see some (http://www.pyramydair.com/p/gamo-cfx-break-barrel-air-rifle.shtml) still listing the CFX in .22.

Roy

Check my other post about the Gamo .22

Sounds like it started along time ago, one way or the other. Not that I know anything about the airgun business, but it seems odd (for lack of a better word) that a company would drop what I would think is a popular caliber.

Go figure.

Hey I thought id update this for everyone.
Well I had my dad call and give him the ffl information. Well turns out he can purchase from them. So I have a shiny new receaver tube and 2 barrel seals for a whopping $25. :)

Thought id share,
