I think they are pulling one. I ordered a new scope Wednesday from the next state up form me (Tenn.)on Tuesday night , thinking it'll be here no later than today , Friday. Once the tacking was up , I saw they scheduled delivery for 8/03/07 today , just like I thought they would. Today I checked and it's been received at the location on the north side of Atlanta yesterday afternoon, but it's just sitting there , they rescheduled my delivery for Monday 8/06/07 DANG IT ! Then I remembered I was expecting another delivery that I had not checked on yet. When I checked it, I couldn't believe it , scheduled delivery Monday 8/06/07 . I think they purposely held my first package so they would only have to make one trip to deliver to my house. This is the second time I've noticed a package being rescheduled to allow delivers to be on the same day. This sucks, when I pay money to have a package delivered and I'm told it will be delivered on a certain day I expect it to show up on that day , not held somewhere until all my shipments are together. OK, Sorry guys, I just had to vent a little, I was looking forward to checking out that scope this weekend . kirby :0

I know my UPS guy pretty well...:) Many deliveries here.. hehe I can understand your frustratrion and it very well may be they are rescheduling to save man hours and gas. This may be a new trend with them because of the state of economy with the fluctuating gas prices. Each terminal has its own Corp. Manager and when insentives come down from the top they will squeeze as much as they can out of a nickle to cut costs and see to it that they get there big boner at Christmas.. In the past my UPS guy has told me that what generally happens is that the guys/gals that load the trucks often put deliveries on the wrong guys truck...:) That has happened to me a few times but I might add that UPS is better than FedEx when it comes to delivering out here in the boonies..:)
Good Luck

It seems to me the more I look at the tracking status the longer it takes. :0 :0 :0 :0

If I had chosen Fedex , they would have delivered tomorrow if it didn't get here today , they have Saturday residential deliveries . I even had a Fedex guy come back the same day to make the delivery when he missed me the first time because my doorbell was broken, I called and they got in touch with the driver and he made a special trip on his way in to the office to drop off my package. Now that's service. The Ups service in my area has gone down hill fast. I've got a new guy and where the old guy would usually deliver by 2pm , this one is lucky to get here by 7pm. I think he one of those who's not getting in a hurry for anybody or anything . I think he wants the OT. JMO kirby

I was waiting for a air rifle delivery, short while back,i was at work,my wife is manager where we live, she missed him also,he left note stating they require signature, wife called main office to try to get him back, because he could be very close by.The lady on phone said no,but would be delivered mon. When you order a new rifle and expect to see it on seduled delivery day and this happens.lots of stuff rolls thru your mind.
Any way, that same evening about 7:00 door bell rung, the Fedex man said he new,i was at work, and that nobody that lived here was under 50,lol.Thats dedication or just a good guy.

This one time, I ordered something from Ohio. It was being shipped UPS and I thought it would be at my house in a couple of days earlier than what it said on the tracking info because I live in the North central part of the state. It took them almost a week to deliver to my house because they took my package across the whole state of PA to New Jersey and then brought it back to my house. I don't know why they did it, but I was sure pretty mad when I checked on the packages progress one morning and seeing it was Jersey. Usually UPS is pretty good about delivering stuff, but I guess there starting to slip a little bit.
Oh well, that was my rant for the evening.

what you don't see is the three legged packmule that bring's your item to the UPS truck which drive's by your house with your package.........heading out of state. :0 Ed

Yeah, I know. Wouldn't think they would just drop it off on their way to Jersey?
