The 34 I started with . . .

I should have taken more pictures but . . .(http://www.getphpbb.com/phpbb/images/smiles/a_doh.gif)

So the question is after reassemby with the fluted Gene Curtis built AirGunToys (http://www.airguntoys.com/store/shop/index2.htm) Weaver intergrated Red dot shroud and T6 adjustable stock, should I hold up presenting it to Brandon to finish installing the bipod mount or ? ? ?

Please also remember that his 17th birthday was a month ago but plans {and $} have a certain unpedictable aspect beyond mere mortals controls . . .

j I was freaked out at first, I see a gun and then I see a toasted stock with a torch next to it. I thought what mad man did this hehe, next pic everything fell into place, scared me buddy lol. Fantastic finish all around and Gene's shroud top's her off. The boy is probably chomping at the bit to get his hand's on her if he know's it's coming. Great work j now put that torch away, your making my babies tremble hehe. Ed

I began with a Diana 34 and put in Mr Maccari's (http://www.airguns.citymax.com/page/page/251488.htm) heavy tar with the GSI kit {no longer available} and seal, so it shoots much better but the bipod in the picture does not have all of the mounting hardware assembled to hold it in place. It may take several more days to cut, weld and fit all of those brackets and hinges in place.

The replacement stock has an adjustable length of pull butt plate and was severely abused in the alteration process and fits the action very well now, though it could never be mistaken for the rattle trap wood stock that it supersedes.

This is what the shroud Gene built was like when it arrived . . .

Hey J, it is coming along great buddy. I really like the looks of the stock and butt plate. Can you make me up one?...:) Looks like molten lava in the top pictures..:) How did it ever come out looking as nice as it does? :) Looks like you are up to your mods and tricks on the springers and leaving your Big Boys to rest.. hehe
Thanks for showing off my work..:) Now I can see what it all looks like together. You have done a fantastic job J and thanks for sharing your work with us.

Notbad for an oldused 'beater' rifle. Alot smoother nowwithout the 'clack' or 'twang' and picked up an additional4fpe while closing the groups down to little critter 'kill zone' sizes.
This T01 trigger is exceptional as well. I need to check it with the trigger guage tobe sure but it is very smooth and feels like it is less than a pound of pull . . .

3n00n; You aint one of them Closet AR15 dudes are you? You can build an AR15 without a torch. Nevermind, whatever floats your boat, friend. Jeep98

Before it was chopped up, it was designed for an SKS. Many years ago, used to tinker with some PB stuff, before I 'got soold' and wore my shoulder sockets out . . .(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)Now PB aren't so much 'fun' due to therecoil. Most of 'em are sorta LOUD too . . .

Yikes! Have you been taking pyro-tips from Roger? The torch thing is REALLY scary! (Good thing you posted this AFTER we concluded the deal for your work on my LGR-U). I can see that I really need to get up to Centerville and check out what's going on. Hope you made a trip to the well head and had H2O on hand before you lit that puppy up.

J...i am putting you on my christmas list for a fire extinguisher!...don't burn the place down before then! ain't Pyrotechnics fun?...ha! seems like us south carolina boys (j, timmy, roger) have a different way of doing things....LOL!...

I may actually be able to get some otherstuff done now.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif)
Good thing I'm only several months {or more} behind on everything . . .

A non-reactive extiguisher would be a good idea. Halon 1301 in the shop? (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)
-
i thought they were not using halon anymore because it removed oxygen and was a risk for people being trapped?....if that's the case maybe i can find one cheap!..ha!

Maybe a Chinese knock-off ?(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif)

Yep the Ruger Air Hawk would be a great knock off in place of the RWS 34...:)
