Squirrel or squirrels cut into pieces 1c. water, 1c. red wine, 1/4 c. salt, 4 tbsp. sugar, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1tsp. minced garlic,. Marinate squirrel pieces in above ingredient's for 12 to 16 hrs. in a non- metal container. Drain on paper towel and place on cookie sheet to air dry for 1 to 2 hrs.. Place on oiled rack's in electric smoker or standard smoker for 2 hrs. Use your favorite smoking chip's, I add apple pieces to mine for a nice flavor. Finish the squirrel in 225 deg. oven, basting twice with butter for 2 hrs. You can make a pate out of it by grinding the meat and adding a equal amount of butter with 1 to 2 tbsp. of Brandy. ( Serve with you favorite crackers.) A little time involved but oh so tasty. Ed

Just about shorted out my keyboard drooling Shadow!!! Is there anyplace on the forums that recipes are posted or will some kind of search turn them all up? I'm a single daddy and love to cook and my girls all love to eat. They've learned not to ask too many questions though!

There isn't any specific place to find recipes but I'm sure the members who have some favorite recipes for game will offer them up freely. My daughters are the same,,, they eat whatever I cook and usually prefer it when I'm cooking wild game.
Look forward to your future posts.

I'm in the middle of our busy season at work, but Shadow got me thinking about maybe doing a collection of recipes. I'd be glad to volunteer to coordinate the effort and maybe Gene could add to the Library. I'll have lots of time when monsoon season hits in a few months. I think I'll go get breakfast now.

See what we can do.:) Ed

A home-made BBQ sauce... MMM, that sounds good =p I have found that the best BBQ sauce I have had (YET) is from a local Senator's Rib Fest. We do some volunteer work, and he hooks us up.
I'd be happy to taste yours though:) I am more of a BBQ addict, than an air gun addict, if you can believe that;)
