: QB57 saves plum tree from 3 more
: USNCop August 07, 2007, 03:24:26 PM
The bullpup smoked 3 flying thieves the other day with RWS Hollow points.
So far it's been earning it's keep.
How about you other QB57 owners out there?

The bullpup was busy today.  There are 8 less "insurgents" today in the back yard.  I was using RWS Super-H points and made 1 disgusting head
shot.  Whew, a bit graphic to show here even if I could.  It entered under the right eye and exited the rear of the skull.
The Super-H must have expanded a little because the exit hole was considerably larger than the perfect O cut upon entry.
The last one I took today was from my deck 1 floor up angling down to the yard at approx. 17m and he died on the spot.

A couple of things I have learned about Ed:

1)  He really enjoys food.

2) He is a sucker for a good deal!

LOL!!!

only cuz I had to mow my back yard and some ugly weather rolled in.
Don't worry, they can't ignore their appetites,hehe.

I think I mentioned this before but I just wanted to remind you guys to pull the action from the stock and make sure the little clips (8?) are all in place.  Mine was missing one on the trigger ass'y and after firing, it wouldn't return to battery.  A couple were loose too so I went to a hardware store and picked up some replacements.

Also, it seems that oversnugging the action screws prevents the trigger from working properly so I snugged 'em where I wanted 'em and marked them with White Out.  I also had to mark the rear sight since it wanted to move out of adjustment every time I flipped it up/down.
I found it to reflect too much light anyway.  I tried to dull it a couple different way, next time I'll try BBQ grill paint.
I even carved little cross hatches in the top of it with a Hobby knife.  Sheesh!

Hint) It would be great if somebody could become the Tuna of QB57's and tune these things (hint)
I can't believe the accuracy.  I was shooting 1 ragged hole at 12m and 15m with RUKO Match pellets on Monday.  I bought these as it seems no one is carrying Gamo Match in Colorado Springs.
My research indicates these are Gamo imported by RUKO in Canada.  I have also been doing well with these in my .22 B26.

Gene, I have 2 Chinese rifles:  .22 B26 and the QB57 w/Leapers 4x32A/O scope

Ya I checked all my clips after I got the QB57 in. Thanks for the tip. It sure is a fun gun to shoot and surprisingly accurate to boot..:) I have had not problem with the trigger. In fact the trigger is very nice. After I polished it and got it adjusted to where I like it, it is very smooth n lite. I had my doughts about the doves being straight untill I scoped it. It was just a few clicks away from dead on. They are not to bad to tune. Of course I made a new button for mine and it shoots in the low 800 fps range with RWS Superdomes. This would be a great air rifle for someone wanting to carry it around in there truck or car. Very compact.

Jeff, I got mine new from the Gun Broker for $55.00 I think. Ed got his from South Summit. I would of bought mine from there but at the time they were out. I think they run about $57.00 plus shipping. Also you can buy the one from Best Airguns, but they run a bit higher. I think around $75.00 and it is the same thing..:)

if that's the one Gene is referring to. I keep reading that these don't equal the QB57 in real power.  Some I've read were even chronied.
Take a look at Airgunweb.com.  There is a review there on the B9.

I got mine at SouthSummit, quick service and good shooter.
