That I have added a Quotes option to your title bar above. Also have added post meter. After 100 post you will get a lit star by your name. I did the changes on Saturday. Also I have added another option which shows at the bottom of each forum. You can view only the newest threads based on dates. If there is a problem with this let me know. I can always remove these features. :)

I've always wondered on forums what the point is of post counts, lit stars, goofy names for X amount of posts etc?
It always seems to drive certain people to just post post post....so they can see their name in lights.
On many forums (for many subjects) some of the most informative posts came from guys with few post-points.

Ya Jack and that is why I postponed adding that to this forum. I originally asked Charlie about opening up that option and he was not in favor of it. Probably because it does not mean a thing. Your right about posts. Sometime great post come from nowhere.
I will leave it for a while unless we have anymore negatives. I am open for all constructive criticism..
Thanks for your opinion

Yeap, noticed the quotes. Wondered though, am I the only one that sees my quotes? Or do they randomly appear in others pages too? Also, sometimes I see the quotes on a page, and other times I don't, is there a method to this madness? I've written very little .asp, but consider myself a php pro, if you ever need advice or a tidbit of code, lemme know...I also love Flash and multiuser interfaces via xml socket servers:)

HI Dan
I fixed the bug in the random quotes. The quotes will show in all the forums now. I would love to set it up for each forum so that forum could have there own quote but I aint got the time yet to do that...:) Glad to see we have another coder here Dan. I am a C, and VB.Net guy. I used to code in cold fusion and mainly all my work has been SQL database stuff. PHP is cool but I have no experience with it....:)
Thanks for your offer and maybe I could call on your services sometime//

Gene, I did not mean to sound negative.
But I have seen many forums where guys view post counting it as some sort of contest to see who can submit the most.
That certainly leads to a lot of posting activity, but not necessarily a lot of real content.

hehe, I do some c/c++ also. Not well enough to sell my skills. I own a copy of VB6.0, but never learned how to use it much. Maybe it's the EVIL Microsoft plot scenario I always have in the back of my mind, maybe I'm just too dumb to pick it up, or maybe it's all of the free compilers and runtimes I can get for all of the stuff I have learned...much easier to learn something when you don't have to pay for it. Although now I do use VC++ IDE for writing in C++, just can't beat a good product, no matter which evil Mr.Gates henchmen wrote it. I know, he's probably not really evil...I just like saying that word:)

Ya Dan, Uncle Bill has set his roots deep. I went with the flow and kept up with it for years but now I am just a program hacker that is a master of none who debugs this stuff the old way... he he. No Muss No Fuss. Just headaches as usual with any coding...:)
Glad you are here Dan
