Went ahead and pushed the "O" button...twice! Once for a Whisper at Midway and once for another GRTIII. My girlfriend would kill me, except I quite smoking in March, so she cuts me a little slack on my other addiction.

I have found it is best to include the significant other in your endeavors. My ex and I had 12 years of fun sharing a hobby in which she previously had no experience; drag racing. Heck, she became better at it than I did!
If she feels like she is included there will be less negativity when it comes to buying new toys!

My wife likes my P17, I have to cock it for her, but she loves to shoot it. Much better communication if there's some sort of participation from the ladies...they get to understand the thrill of hitting the target, and not having the pistol jump out of their hands. :)

I just ordered her a Crosman CS 2250 for her to use against those evil grackles, starlings and the squirrels that have been eating her tomatoes. She's been doing pretty god with my old 1377/22 carbine, but she hates the pumping.

Nice going, when the whisper arrives, share the excitement of opening her up, and teach your GF how to work and shoot it. Let her beat you now and then to keep up her excitement and interest.
I taught my wife shooting when we were going together, now she has several pistols, and you can bet, I don't give her any crap !!!!
