LOL Chucky.. That bug almost reminds me of the Rice Beatles in South East Asia.. When it monsooned they would fall outa the sky. I had one hit me once while I was on a work stand and it almost knocked me out...:) and almost off the stand.. Hit me on my forehead and dang did it hurt..:)

If it what I think it is it's called a Cicadidae. The ones we have here make a high pitch squeal. Way to go Chucky I hate those things I see them rarely but hear them all the time.
-
Nice shootin, can you BBQ em hehe. Ed
-
Hey Ed those bugs are a delicacy in Asia.. They just grab em and brake open the shell and eat the meat while it is still warm...:)

Is it "white" meat or "dark" meat ??? :)
I couldn't resist.

Good Shootin Chuck !
I really hate those things, they sound like hi-tension lines on a humid day.
-
even though it looks kinda icky. I can honestly say that I'm glad we don't have big ones like that in Colorado!

We would be happy to send you truckloads of them from Kansas!

We have enough pest's to keep us busy here. From cougars to coyotes to rodents and snakes but thanks!
Perhaps you folks there could use a million or so catus?
-
I guess I am going to have to find some different game now - hehe. These things are all gone.
-
Nice! Send them to LongIslandhunter. He 's always looking for critters to shoot and eat :-)
He 'll probably need a few more to make a stew though, heheh
Yeah those things are a nuissance. They say that they come out of the ground like every 7-10yrs in the millions and destroy crops and make so much noise they drive you crazy. If I had them, I 'd shoot them too.
