Jon and tried to hunt a little this morning ,but man was it hot ! We walked and sat for 2-3 hours and then did a little long range target shooting at some 12 and 20 oz water bottles we emptied. We shot off-hand at fifty and the eighty yards with our Air Arms .22's turned up on high power . With mine sighted in a med power at thirty yards , I held dead on at 50 and just a few inches high at 80 yards. I know it 's hard to believe but we hit the bottles every time we shot at them. I don't remember us missing one. Then it was lunch time and it was off to find some sweet ICED tea. No squirrels but a fun day in the woods. I think the squirresl may be on vacation somewhere cooler. hehe kirby

I completely believe you. Steve Corcoran and I sat at 158 yards with his S410 and shot beer cans. We didn't hit every time, maybe every 3-5 times, but still pretty unbelieveable. Now Steve has that FX Tarantula and can hit a beer can at that distance damn near every time, maybe closer to every other time, but still amazing. I was trying with the TalonSS on my last trip out, but was having "issues" with it and couldn't get any. Hit the cans at that distance with my B50 when it was new prior to its demolishing itself too. That warning Daisy puts on their boxes "Warning, this is NOT a toy" is very true. Great hunting story btw...oh and thanks for getting the fact that I NEED an AA S410 stuck even further into my already airgun addicted head:)

Sorry about the bad influence, Dan , hehe. If you hadn't traded me that grip and forearm set , I would have already put my other Talon up for sale too. and bought another AA400C in .177, but this time I'd get the adjustable power FAC model that comes with the shroud. I'm working on that one. I'd like to have a carbine in .177 that I could turn down to around 600 fps to shoot indoors this winter and turn back up when needed like the .22 cal classic does . I going to try some longer range bench shooting soon too and I'll post how it goes .BTW I am having an issue with my new classic. Yesterday , I filled the rifle to get it ready for today's shooting and when I took off the fill adapter, the check valve started leaking, I shot the pressure down on the gun , hooked it back up and opened the scuba tank valve a little quicker than normal , refilled , and the check valve started back to working correctly , but now the gauge on the rifle is not working half the time . I'm hoping all this is just a little bit of newness that will correct itself when the gun is "broken " in more. kirby
