The 3/4" aluminium shaft is turned down to 5/8" for 4" so that it fits into the tube. One hole, drilled and threaded, provides a mount for the fore stock.

The other end is drilled to fit the barrel band.

Hehe I just copied and pasted the pic addies into IE and was able to lookt at them. Well Doc you had me confused with the first pic...saying that ya used a 2289 tube lol. I was thinking to myself ok so when did crosman build a Co2 2289? hahahah then I read on and saw that you had made an aluminum extension tube then everything clicked. Nice work, are we gonna get some performance details or is this just for beauty right now? I finally got my 2260 barrel for my 1322 project. Will probably be ordering the stainless tubing this weekend for the long stroker thing going on. Then I can start honing out that tube to fit the piston and valve. I remember Chevell telling me it took him like 8 hours to hone out his tube hehe. I am hoping my 12 volt motored carriage I am making at work will decrease that time a little and also take some of my human error out of the eqaution. Oh another question I have is how much pressure is going into the tube? I am assuming it is the standard Co2 850-900? Anywho that is a nice piece of work there hehe and ya kept the 2289 forearm stock to I like it.

The aluminium under the barrel is a solid shaft that serves two purposes, It gives enough weight up front to balance the gun nicely. For those who have handled a muzzle loading powder burner you will understand when I say that this gun has the same "feel". It also stiffens the barrel and should give it some protection for the rough use that this gun is likely to get as it is going to be my bush gun.
Best of luck with your 1322 project. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

See the thing is she loves me. Everytime my wife winges about a new purchase my mother in law says at least I'm not in bars or paying for prostitutes. The other thing is its 12-13fpe and mine are around 20fpe. Hers runs on caps so she gets 15 shots and I'm bulked and get a hell of a lot more. She doesn't stand a chance. HEHE
The stock came up good for my first attempt. I've had a new idea using the 2260 trigger block to get rid of the pistol grip frame. It will make its new stock a lot better and easier to make.
