It's awesome!!! Twangs somthin fierce tho. What a beautiful work of engineering it is. I can tell that me and my cfx are gonna get along just fine. One thing though...my serial# starts with 04- and ends in -07 and is on the barrel. So do I have a 2004 or a 2007?
-
It's an 07 the gun was just released in the states this year.
-
Thanx Jason. My serial# goes like this: 04-1C-xxxxxx-07. Do we know what the04-1C indicates?
-
Both my Hunter 220s have that same prefix. My newest ones from 2005, and my first ones from 2006. I guess its not just a CFX thing.
-
The people at GAMO couldn't tell me a thing except the last 2 numbers are the
year manufactured and the first 2 have been 04 for the past several years.
My CFX is a .177 and the serial # is 04-1C-156696-05. The only other CFX I've
seen is an 06 and has a bronze textured breech, different scope rail, no scope stop
and scratchy cocking mechanism. My 05 has much smoother chrome breech. It's on it's
way to DaTuna for a tune and trigger. I expect to go from happy to real happy when
it comes back

I got a new .177 a few weeks ago myself it`s an 07 model. not a whole lot of difference except the breach looks like brushed stainless probably bead blasted and the trigger pack doesn`t have that ear attached to it any more it`s seperate. raised scope rail with scope stop. It`s Been a great rifle so far good accuracy too. i can shoot dime size groups at 30 yards.

That the last two digits are the year of manufacture. Thats good enough for me. Thanks for looking into that. This is a great place to be...

My guess is the prefix is possibly a region code sence all gamos have the same prefix. My Viper is prefixed the same as well.
