I've a QB79 sat in the corner which isn't getting used, mainly due to the cost of 88g Co2 cylinders and the need to order them well in advance. Does anyone know of any HPA conversions being offered in the UK? Many thanks.

Kind of wondering...from here (the US) looks like there are lots of painball sites in the UK. Some of them should be able to supply a 9oz.CO2 tank for your QB79...which sould be good for about 400-500ahots.
HPA usually ends up increasing power...and that might be a problem in the land-of-the-12FP-rule. Even if you get around that, will still be tied to a paintball shop to supply the HPA...whichy will NOT last nearly as many shots.

Welcome to the GTA forum Tony and come back often. We have several members from the UK and a great bunch of guys they are.
The 88gr Co2 cylinders here are expensive here also but if anybody would know about HPA over there, it would be Ian. Check his website here.

Thanks for the link but, Ian seems to have dropped the conversion some time back - his site hasn't been updated on the subject since February this year - and I was hoping to find somebody currently able to do the work. No worries, I'll keep reading and perhaps think again about ordering a tube from somewhere in the US. With refills for a 7 Litre compressed air tank running around $6 and 88g Airsource bottes at $14 it's got to be worth persuing.

HPA is something I have been thing about and talking to Ian about a lot. I have yet to find the right bits here in the UK to make a start on converting my 78's. Bulk fill is probably an easier way to go, have a look at the Cooper T website http://www.cooper-t.com/index.html as they have a load of good stuff on there. I can do most machining work for you and I am in the UK. I run http://www.MuzzleBrakes4u.co.uk.

Great offer, many thanks PJ, but I really wanted to veer away from Co2. Your URL? Is it correct?
-
It looks like the banned word filter has changed the URL, replace the "muzzlebreaks4u.co.uk" to s i l e n c e r s 4u.co.uk, without the spaces. Obviously this site and my products are only available where they are not restricted.
I'll pm you the address too.
Thanks
Jon
